A trip away to get the bugs away (YALLINGUP, WESTERN AUSTRALIA)

For my first post, I will keep it a little close to home: well about 3 hours 15 minutes to be exact. I have been a little under the weather the last couple of weeks, not really feeling myself. I have been told to slow down and take a break (and probably a good thing after one of the most epic summers of my life and a constant FIFO job opportunity to go with it).  Plus I love spending time with this guy - would could be as perfect at cheese, wine and bundling up with this him. Bliss.

So Matt and I decided to head down to the South West of Australia and chill out for the long weekend - le Party Animals! It was a hard choice to leave a rowdy weekend full of constant bbq's and parties with best friends but I am a firm believer in looking after number 1 (yourself, silly!) in many circumstances in life. This was one.

We stayed at the Sienna Lodge, a cute cottage style townhouse hotel that is attached to a small winery and considering we got a last minute deal on booking.com it was a more than reasonable price they had to offer for our three nights over a long weekend.  Not only was it just a few km's up the road from some of the main breweries in Margaret River - Cheeky Monkey, Bootleg Brewery and Duckstein (in which we enjoyed Cheeky Monkey and Duckstein on the Sunday), it was also a short drive to the Margaret River Chocolate Factory and Fonti Farm (in whichever we indulged in copious amounts of Triple Cream Brie, Sweet Chilli Cheddar and Smoked Cheddar, and of course had generous serving of chocolate bud samples at the factory), AND we were a literal 5 minute drive from Smiths beach and the beautiful Canal Rocks. I would recommend to anyone travelling down South to stay at the Sienna Estate Lodge and explore our beautiful southwest - Augusta, Bridgetown, Yallingup, Margaret River, Dunsborough, Busselton and everything else in between!

Excuse my obsession with my new fisheye lens. Something about the lens gives me a timeless memory of that moment and time in the picture, and I haven't taken it off my SLR yet.

Next travelling adventure is just around the corner (next week!!)
Destination: Bali, Indonesia - BAGUS!!

Till next adventure,

Tahnee xx
